Video Transcript | GPX Educational Webinar – How To Use Your GPX Benefit

Introduction

[Music]

Renee: Hi, Ricky!

Ricky: Hi, Renee!

Renee: You know, we’ve had a lot of fun over the years being out at the resorts, talking to owners at the annual meeting about their owner benefit, GPX. And I know you’re on the phone day-in and day-out talking to owners; I’m behind the scenes on the website, on social media, engaging with them; But it’s really nice to take a break to get on camera so that way we can record this video so our owners can watch at their leisure and learn more about their owner benefits.

Ricky: Yeah, we’re going to have a great time over here, and I hope you guys have a great time at home, too.

Renee: Let’s go over what we will be covering today.

Ricky: Okay, yeah, sounds good to me. So, we’re going to go over: What is GPX? Just talking about what it is exactly to you as an owner and how it benefits you. We’re also going to go over the many ways that you can use your week in GPX.

Renee: Right You can exchange it, you can deposit into Perks, you can donate it. There’s so many ways to use your week.

Ricky: Exactly. And, you know, talking about how it’s so much more than just your week. It’s your memories and your vacation that you get every year. And some website how-tos, some tips and tricks to help you out with navigation. And Renee will go over how to stay connected and inspired, and get you guys creating those memories that are worth sharing.

Renee: Sounds good. Let’s get started.

Ricky: Awesome!

What can owners do with GPX?

Renee: Ricky, I get a lot of questions when I’m out at the resorts talking to the Grand Pacific Resorts owners about how they can actually use their week to go different places, or if they don’t want to use it at all, what do they do? And I tell them about Grand Pacific Exchange, GPX. There’s so much value there. There’s so many different ways to maximize your ownership, from exchange and rental and Perks. I’m hoping today we can really address those top questions. Are you in?

Ricky: Absolutely. So the question that we get asked the most in the call center is: What can I do with GPX? What are my options? And the very first option that owners have is they can bank their week to GPX, and they can exchange it either to go to somewhere they’ve never been before, or they can go to their resort at a different time. And all exchanges usually start at $219.

Renee: And I’ve seen their Insider Exchange weeks, $99. I’ve seen locations like Vegas, Orlando and Sedona.

Ricky: Yeah, yeah. That’s a great benefit that we have ongoing. It’s for those that just really need to get away on vacation, that want to book closer to your check-in date.

Renee: Right. Those like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need a vacation now!’ moments.

Ricky: Yeah, yeah. There’s also owners that ask, ‘Do I have to give up my week in GPX?’ And no, you don’t have to give up your week in GPX. We also offer rental weeks, where you can just buy a week out of pocket. And Renee, do you want to tell us a little bit more about our Insider Weeks promotion?

Renee: Yeah, this is one of my favorites. I think there’s so much value here: $399 for the entire week. You don’t have to stay the entire week. You can go for just a few nights at that price. it’s less than a hotel room. And I’ve seen Vegas, I’ve seen Palm Springs, Tahoe, Carlsbad. And I know you can even travel internationally, because we do have rental weeks out there.

Ricky: Yeah. For those that have the time to plan in advance, we also have international locations like Canada and Mexico. Our agents are standing by and they’re ready to get you on that vacation right away. And for those that can’t travel for an entire week, we also have our GPX Nightly Getaways, where you can stay at any one of our Grand Pacific Resorts properties at discounted rates also.

Renee: And what I love about Nightly Getaways is, if you do use your week, you can always stay a little bit longer, too.

Ricky: Exactly. You can use it to extend your stay on your exchange, or you can use it to just get extra nights at any time.

Ricky: Hey, Renee, there’s a fun program called Revive & Thrive. Can you tell us a little bit more about that, too?

Renee: Right. So Revive & Thrive, we partnered with Send Me On Vacation. It’s a nonprofit that sends cancer survivors in need on vacation. And this is a great way to make sure that your week goes to a family in need. If you’re not going to use it, donate it.

Renee: You know, another way to use your week if you don’t want to go on vacation and don’t want to see it go to waste is to deposit it into GPX Perks and get it turned into savings credits that you can use on:

Ricky: Cruises, guided tours, gift cards, hotels, resorts and so many fantastic options. I don’t even know where to begin.

Renee: Where to start, right? And you can give it to your family and friends. And how many savings credits you get for your week, we have a calculation for that, and we’re going to take a deeper dive into that later in the video.

Exchanging your week

Renee: Let’s talk about that owner that goes to their home resort year after year, and they’re ready to go somewhere new. They can use that week, right? There’s options there.

Ricky: Yeah. GPX, first and foremost, is an exchange program. So owners that want to experience something new, they can bank their week to GPX and use that to go somewhere else, or they can go back to their home resort at a time that they don’t normally own. Now, with GPX, our first goal at the forefront is getting you guys on vacation with what works best for you. Therefore, GPX is a complimentary benefit that you get as long as you own with us, and there’s no renewal fee either. Now, in order to get these exchanges, all you have to pay is our exchange fee, which starts at $219 but can be up to $259 in peak periods.

Renee: Peak Hawaii, Southern California during the summer.

Ricky: Yeah, yeah. And there’s still our promotional Insider Exchange, which gives an opportunity for those who want to travel at a lesser rate of $99.

Renee: Great value there.

Ricky: Yes. We also allow our owners the opportunity to vacation for two years from their original check-in date when they bank it with GPX. So, for example, if my week started on September 1, 2024, my GPX credit will be good until September 1, 2026.

Renee: So next year, and next year.

Ricky: Yes. But if I’m not able to travel, though, let’s say I’m up on the expiration date, I can extend that credit for one year for $129. And not only that, but if I wanted a larger unit size, I can do that. GPX gives me the option to do that, and what the fee is is dependent on what I own and what I’m trying to book into. Overall, though, great option to go on vacation.

Renee: Exactly.

Converting a deposited week to GPX Perks

Renee: Okay, so we’ve talked about owners depositing their week because they want to go somewhere new, and they’ve deposited and they’re getting into vacation-planning mode. But life changes, plans change, and they aren’t ready to go. What are their options?

Ricky: Now, if you’re just not sure on whether you’re going to be able to exchange within that year or anything like that, or you just are not interested in extending it at all, you can take the week and put it into GPX Perks instead. And that will have it become a savings credit, which is worth two times the amount you paid for your maintenance fee for that year. For example, a $1,000 maintenance fee would be converted into 2,000 savings credits.

Renee: Okay, so I’m getting more than my maintenance fee in savings credits, right?

Ricky: Correct.

Renee: Wow. Okay, so what do I use my savings credits on?

Ricky: That’s a great question, Renee. In GPX Perks, you can get discounts on cruises, hotels, guided tours and just so many different options that you just couldn’t take advantage of before.

Renee: And those are great vacation options. And so, with Perks, it all starts with the savings credits, right? That’s how I get that great value there. But how do I get the savings credits, and where’d my week go?

Ricky: You’re basically saying you’re not going to be taking this week, and then you request to put it into the Perks program. And from there, you get two times the amount of what you paid in maintenance fees in savings credits.

Renee: Oh, that’s great. So my week is not wasted. I’m actually getting more value out of my week, because now it’s more than my maintenance fee that I’m getting in savings credits to go on more vacations.

Ricky: Exactly.

Renee: Awesome.

Ricky: All right, so we’re going to go ahead and show you how to put your week into the Perks program. We have this fun little video that we’ll go ahead and play right now.

[Music; instructional video: How To Convert Weeks to Savings Credits]

Video narrator: GPX Perks gives you more options to use your use week. You can convert your deposited week into savings credits that can be used toward the purchase price of rental cars, hotel and tour packages, gift cards for shopping and more. Converting your deposited week to savings credits is easy. First, go to your member dashboard and go to View Profile. Click Weeks Deposited. Go to the deposited week you’d like to convert to savings credits. Click the blue Select button and click Perks. Choose the exchange credit you’d like to convert by clicking the circle next to Apply Credit. Agree to the terms and conditions and click Submit. It will take up to 72 hours for your savings credits to show up in your account when you click on GPX Perks.

Donating your week through Revive & Thrive

Ricky: All right, well, that was a fun video, Renee, don’t you think?

Renee: Yeah!

Ricky: So we also have our Revive & Thrive program, and I know this is something near and dear to your heart, so I’m going to go ahead and let you let our audience know.

Renee: Yeah. So Revive & Thrive, this is a partnership with Send Me On Vacation, where we take your week and we actually give it directly to a cancer survivor in need. We’ve had so many owners take advantage of this, and we’ve actually met with these wonderful women that have benefited from your generosity. And it’s just, it’s really, really touching. I encourage you, if you aren’t going to use your week, consider this as an option. It’s really easy. Just go to your member dashboard. We’re going to show you another video that walks you through those steps.

[Music; instructional video: How to Donate Your Week To A Breast Cancer Survivor]

Video narrator: Hi. So in today’s video, I’m going to show you how to donate your week into the Revive & Thrive program. Revive & Thrive is great for when you know that you’re not going to be able to take advantage of your vacation and you would like to donate it to somebody who really needs a vacation for this time in their life. So we’re going to go ahead and go to GPXVacations.com, and you’re going to sign into your GPX account. Once you are signed into your GPX account, you can scroll down to the Offers and Spotlight section, and on there you’re going to see a bookmark that says Revive & Thrive. All you have to do is click on that, and you’ll be taken to a part of the GPX website which will give you a bit more information on the Revive & Thrive program, including details on our partner, Send Me On Vacation. Then, once you scroll down, you just select the deposit credit that you’d like to donate into the Revive & Thrive program. From there, you’ll scroll down even further, review the terms and conditions, and once you’ve read through those and agree, you can go ahead and submit that. Once you submit your week into the Revive & Thrive program, it will take 72 hours to get completed, and you can expect an email confirmation. All right, well, that’s how you donate your week into the Revive & Thrive program. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch this video. If you do need assistance, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Other than that, I really hope that you have a great day.

[Music; instructional video ends]

Exchange weeks versus rental weeks

Renee: We’ve covered a lot. So far we’ve gone over: if you’re going to exchange your week and then your plans change and you don’t know what to do, you can extend it, or you can convert it into savings credits, or you can donate it to a cancer survivor.

Ricky: Yeah, and you would think that really that’s all of those options, and there’s still more?

Renee: Yes, there is!

Ricky: So not only do you have the opportunity to exchange in GPX, but you also have the opportunity to get extra vacations in GPX through rental weeks or Nightly Getaways. So we have this fun video right now that’s going to explain the difference between an exchange and a rental week. Let’s take a look.

[Music; instructional video: Exchange Week Vs. Rental Week]

Video narrator: We’re giving you more choices so you can take more vacations. Exchange week or rental week? You decide the best option for you. That’s personalized service from GPX. Exchange weeks are vacation weeks available in exchange for your use week. When you deposit your week, you’ll receive an exchange credit, allowing you to book a week at another resort for a low exchange fee, minus complicated value systems like other exchange companies. On the other hand, rental weeks are vacation weeks available for a low flat rate that do not require your use week to be deposited. These weeks are deeply discounted just for owners. The bonus is you get to take more vacations. Explore your options by searching the website. Wherever you want to go, GPX will take you there. We’re always here for you.

[Music; instructional video ends]

GPX Nightly Getaways

Ricky: Wow, such a great video. I think your team did really well with that, Renee.

Renee: Oh, thank you.

Ricky: So not only do you have the option as an owner to exchange and book rental weeks, but we also offer Nightly Getaways through GPX. Now, these Nightly Getaways are specific to our other Grand Pacific Resorts properties, and you as an owner would get exclusive membership rates.

Renee: Right. You can add them on to your week. You can just take a quick getaway. We’re talking California, Kauai, Utah.

Ricky: Yeah, absolutely. And you do not need to bank your week in order to get access to the Nightly Getaways. This is all just extra vacation opportunity.

Renee: Let’s take a closer look at how an owner could book GPX Nightly Getaways on the website. But you know what? Before that, just a reminder: we have agents standing by. We are here to help you Monday through Saturday, 8:00 to 5:00. So if you don’t want to do it online, pick up the phone, call, go online, live chat. Once you fill out the information, click Checkout. Review your resort and reservation information and enter your payment details. Click ‘I have reviewed and understand the terms and conditions below’ once you review them. Click Pay and Confirm to complete your transaction. Using your member dashboard

Ricky: Now that we’re signed in, we found availability and we booked our vacation, let’s go ahead and take a look at our member dashboard, where we can find that vacation we just booked and just take a look at our account in general.

Renee: And there’s a lot to do there. So if you’re ever feeling lost, just click Live Chat and you’ll get straight to an agent.

[Music; instructional video ends]

Depositing your week into GPX

Ricky: Now that we’ve got our vacation booked and we used our GPX credit that was in your account, now we’re going to show you how to deposit your week into GPX. All you’ll need for this is the check-in date of your reservation, the reservation number for your home resort, and that the maintenance fees for your week are current and in good standing. Let’s go ahead and take a look at how to get that done.

[Music; instructional video: How To Deposit Your Week into GPX]

Video narrator: Today I’m going to show you how to deposit your week into GPX. First, go to GPXVacations.com. If you’re not already signed in, go ahead and sign into your account. Now just click on Deposit Week in the top right-hand corner. From there, a pop-up will scroll down, and you just select the home resort that you’d like to deposit to GPX. You’re going to need your check-in date of your reservation and the reservation number for your home week. Once you’ve entered that information, go ahead and click Submit. It will take 48 to 72 hours to be deposited into GPX. Keep in mind, if you don’t have the check-in date, the reservation number, or a reservation in general at your home resort, please contact us at 866-325-6295, and we’ll be able to assist you.

[Music; instructional video ends]

Accessing the GPX Perks website

Renee: We talked about GPX Perks savings credits. Great option if you don’t want to use your week, you don’t want to exchange it, but you still want to get the value out of it. But gosh, how do I do that?

Ricky: Yeah, so we have a fun video as well for this that will show our owners how to get that done online. Let’s go ahead and take a look at that. But just remember, we have agents standing by to help if you need further assistance.

[Music; instructional video: How To Access GPX Perks Website]

Video narrator: Today I’m going to show you how to get to the GPX Perks website, as well as some knowledgeable links that you can find on our website. The website you’re going to want to go to is GPXVacations.com. Now, to get to the GPX Perks website, you can click on the Member Dashboard once you’ve signed into your GPX account. From there, you’re going to see a tile that says GPX Perks. When you click on that, it will take you to the Perks website, where you’ll be able to see your member ID, the primary member or the owner of the account, and the amount of savings credits that you have available to you. In order to find availability for the Perks website, you can click on Shop Travel in the top right-hand corner, where you’ll be able to find availability for hotels, resorts, cruises, car rentals, airfare and tours. Please keep in mind that although airfare is available to find availability for, your savings credits cannot apply towards airfare. Now, if you are interested in finding gift card availability, there is the Gift Cards link right next to Shop Travel in the same top right-hand corner. And that’s it. From there, you just find what you’re interested in and start vacationing in other ways that you couldn’t before.

[Music; applause; music]
