Beginning 10/25/21 :
The Antillean Florin is the legal currency on the Dutch side of the island although the USD $ and the Euro € are widely accepted. The Euro € is the legal currency on the French side of the island although the USD $ is widely accepted. There is a St. Maarten government required Timeshare Usage Tax ($50.00 per occupied unit, per week, i.e., an eight day stay up to two weeks will be $100.00) that applies to all reservations. Hotel guests are exempt of this fee; however, a rental room tax (20% of the rental rate) is required for all rental reservations. -
Beginning 10/26/21 :
At time of check-in, a valid government-issued photo identification is required that must match the guest name under which the reservation was made. A credit card for a $300 security deposit and a daily $25.00 plus tax resort fee will also be required (cash is not an acceptable form of deposit). Resort Fee includes Wi-Fi, beach chairs, seasonal activities, billiards table, pool, business center computer/internet and boarding pass printing.
